The Prowler (1981), also known as Rosemary’s Killer, is a slasher film directed by Joseph Zito. The story begins with a World War II soldier who is spurned by his girlfriend and murders her at a graduation dance in 1945. Decades later, a masked killer dressed in military fatigues and armed with a pitchfork returns when the town revives its graduation dance after years of being canceled. As the night unfolds, students are stalked and gruesomely murdered, leaving a young deputy and his girlfriend to uncover the truth behind the killings and the identity of the vengeful prowler.
