I used to laugh at the term toxic positivity. Eye roll. That’s for people who don’t know how to move on, right?

But this weekend? I had to eat my own words. Because dang—I am toxically positive sometimes.

Not because I don’t mean it. But because sometimes I use it to avoid pain. To avoid watching someone else sit in theirs. To bypass the mess and jump straight to the win. And maybe you do, too.

So this episode? It's a wake-up call and a mirror. For the parents who rescue their kids too soon. For the leaders who say “I believe in you” but don’t hold the line. For the woman who stopped trusting her body the first time it didn’t feel strong—and never quite recovered.

We’re talking about the tension between cheerleading and conviction. Between belief and bypass. And how to really build capacity—for yourself, for your kids, for your people.

Because saying “you can do this” only works if you actually believe it.
