  • The Gloria Show: What We're Missing as Kids; What it Means as Adults
    Apr 8 2025
SHOW DESCRIPTION: A Personal Development Podcast Where You Can Grow, Elevate, and Upgrade Your Life

SYNOPSIS: As adults, we make decisions based on what we learned as our foundational knowledge was being formed. If that foundation was infiltrated with harm, it rocks our worlds then and during our adulthood. We've been acclimated to start asking ourselves about ACEs (adverse childhood experiences) and many of those scores assume that the only things that matter are the things that someone would rank as happening directly to us. What about the incubator being infiltrated by the water we're swimming in, not only the actual attacks we receive during incubation? What about when we "are exposed to violence" because our mother's being abused by our father - what long-term impact does that have? Or what about when our sibling is the victim of child sexual assault by a family member and we grow up being raised by the perpetrator and seeking an unrequited relationship with the CSA survivor sibling - what long-term impact does that have? In being the latter, I've been allowed a gift that I want to share with you today. This applies if you are that other child (sibling of the CSA survivor) or you grew up with someone who was harmed while you supposedly "weren't". Here's your discovery, validation, healing, and empowerment.
