The Faros - Les Miserables 1 - Fantine

  • Summary

  • Join Andrew Williams as he reflects on Victor Hugo’s classic story, Les Miserables and The God who Refuses to Abandon Us.

    Episode 1: Fantine

The Pulitzer Prize winning author, Upton Sinclair wrote, “Victor Hugo’s Les Miserable is one of the half dozen greatest novels of the world because it profoundly portrays our deepest hurts and deepest hopes.”

Is author Victor Hugo telling us that Fantine's life ends in despair and all her efforts (including those to save the life of her most precious daughter) have come to nothing?
In a brutal world - Hugo desires to give us a very different message. It is not at all obvious at this point, but Hugo is revealing to us a God who refuses to abandon us.

With Special Guest Rev. Dan Wolf of Rise Portland Anglican Church.
