About this listen
This week filmmaker and sculptor Mike McCarthy talks with Marvin Stockwell, the co-founder of the Coliseum Coalition, as well as co-founder of 'BEEVO' (that's Baron Von Opperbean) and so much more! Marvin recounts the formation of the Coliseum Coalition, a grassroots activist group that saved the Mid-South Coliseum. Marvin also talks about his involvement with the non-profit, Friends of the Fairground, that has now led to the new Coliseum Conservancy. Marvin believes Art and Community can be a creative driver for business and culture in Memphis. He also discusses these things on his very own podcast "Champions of the Lost Cause."
