• 3. The Next Chapter - Part Three
    Jan 13 2025

The long and short - I'm ready to come back to the microphone after depression pulled my feet out from under me, but I can promise that it will not be the same as it was. So over the next few episodes, I just want to be honest about where I've been, how I got here, and what has changed.

I split this into 3 episodes just so it felt a little less overwhelming and a little more digestible. There won't be much in the way of rhyme, reason, or formality.

  • 303. For when you are questioning everything...Just Keep Going.
    Jul 1 2024

A quick pep talk for when you are questioning everything. I feel like I have at least a day or two every single month where I question every decision I've ever made, and this is the pep talk I wish I had to lift me out of it. Use this whenever you need it, and send it to a nurse who could use some love too. ❤️

New podcast Healing Healthcare should be dropping on Spotify this week, and Apple podcasts soon after! I will announce it as soon as it's live!

  • 302. How to ditch COMPARISON and a podcast update!
    Jun 24 2024

This past week, I got on a call with one of my one-on-one clients and spent almost an hour digging into comparison, the scale, body image, and what really mattered to her in the long run. Our conversation really got my thinking about the impact of comparison on our careers, health journeys, and mental health overall. As nurses (and women), it is so easy to get caught up in how we measure up to those around us and what other people might think. Let's dig in with a quick little pep talk all about COMPARISON!

Our new podcast Healing Healthcare, is launching so soon! There are a couple of behind-the-scenes components that have to get done, and then we will be LIVE! But don't worry, until our new platform launches, I will be updating you here so you don't miss a thing!

  • 301. Getting fired up while digging into Nurses' comment sections
    Jun 17 2024

I have been known to go on a nice little doom scroll from time to time, and I often find myself deep into the comment sections on posts made by nurses, infuriated by the audacity of others. 🤣 I just get so fired up, and I can be pretty defensive when it comes to my fellow nurses. Today I am digging into a few headlines and comment sections in the nursing world, just to spark some meaningful conversations.

Here's a preview of what we are looking at today:

"Police arrest former Medford nurse accused of diverting drugs, injecting patients with tap water"

Comment - "Night shift don't do sh*t except pass meds and draw labs. Relax. Y'all with survive" (post by @ciara_melle)

Comment - "The government needs to take over healthcare to lower the cost. They make too much that's why it is so expensive" (post by @lvnurse.jammy)

So hop in for a candid conversation and let me know if you like this type of episode! If so, I will include it in our new podcast Healing Healthcare, which should be launching by next week!!!

  • 300. Secrets to the perfect post-shift routine
    Jun 10 2024

The hours after a long shifts are some of the most important when it comes to our sanity as nurses. And yet, we often spend the moments after work binge eating, numbing out on the couch, doom scrolling, or just generally "rotting." And while relaxation is important, these choices usually leave us more drained than restored. On today's episode, let's talk about a few key things to include post-shift to ACTUALLY decompress.

This one is short and sweet, but I also give you a quick update on our new podcast kicking off so soon! Don't worry, it will be a smooth transition from this show to our next chapter on the Healing Healthcare podcast!
