My guest is a friend and colleague, Dr. Sakti Srivastava. Sakti is a professor and Chief of the Division of Clinical Anatomy in the Department of Surgery at Stanford Medicine, he’s also an innovator in medical education, and led the initial Digital Medic team focusing on global health education. He is currently working on establishing the SCALPEL 2.0 initiative - a global academic consortium for VR based medical education.

Today’s episode will focus on misinformation, conspiracy theories, and what we can do to combat them during the time of covid. I’m excited about our guest today, my friend and colleague, Dr. Seema Yasmin. Seema is an Emmy Award-winning journalist, poet, medical doctor and author. She’s also a Clinical Assistant Professor in Stanford's Department of Medicine and Director of the Stanford Health Communication Initiative.

Today’s episode will focus on teaching and learning in the middle of a global pandemic. My guest today is a familiar face around the halls of Stanford. Madika Bryant is the administrative director and course manager for Practice of Medicine here at the med school. She has spent 16 years at Stanford, including a masters degree in East Asian studies. She also has a bachelors in English from Howard University and was a Fulbright Fellow in Japan.
