Learn the English expression, "Take for granted"

If you take something for granted, you don't fully appreciate that thing.

We take a lot of things for granted in our lives: modern conveniences, our health and safety, and even the people around us.

When we take something for granted, we know it's there. But we don't stop to appreciate it.

If you're young, you might take your health for granted. You don't appreciate how lucky you are to be healthy. If you live in a safe neighborhood, you might take your safety for granted. It's easy to forget that not everyone has that advantage.

We're lucky to have the things that we have! Don't take them for granted.
