About this listen
I am joined today by Martyn Sibley, to explore his incredible personal story of resilience, acceptance, and the importance of kindness in navigating our path to a better world. Martyn is CEO of Purple Goat inclusion agency and has been voted in the top 100 influential disabled people.
We discuss personal journeys of resilience from a stiff upper lip mentality to a more accepting approach that acknowledges and welcomes emotions. Martyn shares his personal journey with spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), emphasising societal barriers to people with disabilities, the need for mentorship and the power of community.
We dive into how we can co-create a better world - looking at fears that need to die in order for progress to be made. With the importance of co-creation to build a more inclusive world where everyone can be valued and belong. Highlighting the importance of generosity and kindness as catalysts for change, we hope this chat encourages others to take practical steps towards fostering connections and empathy in their communities.
