In this episode, we’re diving deep into the energies of late 2024 and how they are preparing us for the next chapter—2025.

We’ve all been questioning the systems around us—capitalism, government, societal rules—and recognizing that so much of what we've been taught doesn't serve us. Exhaustion and anger are real, but so is empowerment. In this episode, we unpack the spiritual, emotional, and societal lessons from 2024, represented by The Hierophant tarot card. You’re not alone in feeling burnt out or disillusioned, and we’ll explore how to transform this energy into something that fuels you for the future.

    Here’s what we cover:
    - The collective questioning and dismantling of oppressive systems in 2024
    - Releasing the need to “follow the rules” and embracing your personal power
    - Lessons from tarot, including the Nine of Cups, King of Cups, and Queen of Wands
    - Celebrating the growth that comes from seeing behind societal illusions
    - What to expect as we move into 2025, and why clearing your energy is essential

I’ve also just released a bonus episode over on Patreon, where I go even deeper into the energies of 2025 and how to prepare for the lessons ahead.

As always, I’d love to hear your thoughts. Drop a comment on Instagram, Patreon, or even right here on Spotify—let’s keep this conversation going. Thank you for tuning in, and I’ll see you in the next episode.

In this episode, we explore why many of us are trying to build new futures while clinging to outdated parts of our identity. Through the lens of the Five of Wands and Page of Swords, we examine the sticky, chaotic energy many are experiencing while simultaneously trying to discover their authentic selves.

We discuss how external pressures and limited resources can create an environment where everyone is fighting for basic needs, leading to a collective experience of tension and agitation. This "sticky energy" affects us all, but we don't have to carry it.

Using real-life examples, like a life coach discovering her true path lay elsewhere, we explore how holding onto old identities can block us from recognising and living our truth. The episode examines why we often resist letting go of career paths, relationships, or identities we've invested in, even when they no longer serve us.

Through the Hierophant card, we question whose voices we're listening to and why. While external guidance can be valuable, we're reminded that our own inner guidance system is our most reliable truth compass. The episode concludes with practical suggestions for discovering your truth through curiosity and stillness.

    Key Topics:
    - Recognising when you're building on outdated foundations
    - Managing collective "sticky energy" without taking it on
    - The courage to let go of invested identities
    - Distinguishing between external voices and inner guidance
    - Using curiosity as a tool for truth-seeking
    - Finding stillness to hear your inner voice
    - Small changes that invite new possibilities

You may look organized and calm from the outside, but internally, you're wrestling with some serious emotional and spiritual shifts. It's like you're in freeze mode, moving through life while feeling stuck in a spiritual fog.

We the cyclical nature of healing—how you can feel euphoric when you're breaking through old beliefs, only to later hit a wall where you feel stuck or overwhelmed. Right now, it seems like you're in the latter phase, trying to process emotions and energies that feel unfamiliar and destabilizing. You've let go of something that once felt like part of your identity, and now you're facing the discomfort of the unknown.

This episode explores the idea of liberation, both on an individual and collective level. We all have an inner oppressor that echoes the systems of oppression we live in. I use my own experience as a lesbian who repressed her sexuality for years due to compulsory heterosexuality, to illustrate how these systems shape our self-perception. Whether it's internalized homophobia, racism, or other biases, we all have work to do in liberating ourselves from these ingrained patterns.

I pull the Chariot card to remind you that this work—this liberation—is a lifelong journey. Mistakes will be made, but the important thing is to remain humble, open to learning, and aware that the fight for freedom, both personal and collective, is not a sprint. How can you make it sustainable for yourself? How can you balance progress with self-care, especially when it comes to activist burnout?

We end with a reflection on freedom itself, guided by the King of Swords. Freedom isn't always easy, but it’s about knowing and living your truth. Even when it’s uncomfortable or goes against societal expectations, living your truth is what brings real liberation. So, take a breath, be kind to yourself, and remember that the work you're doing for yourself and others is worth it.

    key topics
    - Emotional overwhelm and spiritual stagnation
    - Letting go of parts of your identity
    - Facing your inner oppressor and unlearning internalized biases
    - The lifelong commitment to collective liberation
    - Balancing activism and self-care
    - Defining freedom as living your truth, even when it’s hard

In this episode, we dive deep into the concept of personal power—how it manifests, how we can embrace it, and why it's crucial to acknowledge the power within each of us.

I reflect on my own journey of stepping into my power, realizing that much of the time I self-sabotaged out of fear of what my full potential could look like. This isn’t about being better than anyone else; it's about recognizing that we *all* have a unique power sourced from universal energy.

We'll explore how to spot opportunities in the small moments and how the energy of the Ace of Wands and Ace of Swords can help us find balance between fiery passion and logical thinking.

We also talk about the obstacles standing in our way—whether that's societal conditioning, a past influence in your life, or the overwhelming state of the world—and how we can navigate these challenges without losing hope. I encourage you to seek out role models who embody personal power, even if it looks entirely different from the mainstream idea of "power."

    Topics include
    - My journey to embracing personal power
    - Why self-sabotage often stems from fear of our own potential
    - Balancing passion with intellect
    - The blocks to finding personal power
    - Navigating a world in crisis without losing your sense of agency
    - How the colonized mind shows up in our perceptions of power
    - Finding role models who resonate with *your* power

In today’s episode, we're talking about the fiery energy many of you are feeling right now. It’s a spark that’s been reignited, a motivation you’ve been waiting for—and it’s here to stay, for now. But remember, healing is a journey, not a destination, and today's reading explores that in depth.

    You’ll hear about:
    - Tapping into this powerful, warrior-like energy with the Ace of Wands.
    - Understanding healing as a gritty process—it’s blood, sweat, and tears, not all peace and calm.
    - How healing can serve as resistance against oppressive systems and help create a new world.
    - The importance of balance, as reflected in the Temperance card, and how to prevent burnout on your healing journey.
    - The cycles of healing—enjoying the forward motion but preparing for the inevitable slowdown.
    - How your guides and spirits are working beyond the veil, reminding you that you're not alone on this path.

I also pulled the Hermit card to explore why oppressive systems resist our healing and how embracing our individual journey contributes to collective liberation.

Feeling inspired? Take note of your synchronicities, document this powerful phase, and check out my Patreon for more journal prompts to guide you through this exciting time.

    Key points:
    - Healing is a journey, not a final destination.
    - Balancing enthusiasm and rest is essential for sustainable growth.
    - The fire within you is your power; use it to fuel your healing and resistance.

  • 02. Your ego is dissolving
    Oct 28 2024

    Transcripts available at https://www.sunflowersandstars.com/

Today, we’re diving into a topic that might feel a bit heavy but oh-so-necessary: trusting in divine timing, especially when it feels like everything's uncertain.

An energy check-in with the Nine of Swords—anxiety, sleepless nights, and vivid dreams. Whether it’s waking up at 3am or sleeping through alarms, your subconscious is disturbed, signalling big shifts. We're in a new era, and it's no surprise if the old ways of navigating life just aren't cutting it anymore.

Our ego is desperately trying to plan, control, and figure everything out. But, as I mention in this episode, the answers aren’t logical anymore. We’re being asked to tap into our intuitive side and allow parts of our ego to die—particularly the parts that resist this new way of being. It’s uncomfortable, and growth is gritty, but this process is vital to create space for your soul to expand and trust.

In this episode, I pull the Death card—symbolizing the ego's dissolution—and the King of Wands, reminding us that we don’t have to master everything right now. It’s about allowing space for your higher self to emerge, even when the ego is screaming for control.

I wrap up by reminding us all that trusting in divine timing isn’t about relying on external sources to deliver what we need. It’s about trusting ourselves to cope, to stay aligned, and to keep moving forward no matter what. The trust issues we face aren’t external—they’re within us.

    Key Cards:

Nine of Swords, Death, King of Wands, Two of Cups

Thank you so much for tuning in. If this resonates, I encourage you to reflect on your own relationship with trust, timing, and the ego. Don’t forget to subscribe and share this episode if you think someone else could use it. Until next time, stay connected to source and trust the process.

    Key points:
    - Trusting in divine timing when things feel uncertain.
    - Nine of Swords, sleep disturbances, and subconscious shifts.
    - Ego dissolution and why the old ways of planning and control aren’t working.
    - Letting go of parts of the ego to create space for soul expansion.
    - You don’t have to master everything now—allow yourself space to grow.
    - Trust issues are within, not external: Can you trust yourself to stay aligned, no matter what?
