    The theme for Year 3 of Widowhood was "My Children's Grief."

    I tried posting this episode for a whole 6 months and the enemy was working overtime. The file was too large to send and then I bought a new computer and the file was corrupted. BUT GOD!!! I ended up getting a new phone and getting the files back and now here I sit on Feb 19th, 2024 (which makes 4 years since I lost my husband) and now I can share my perspective of Year 3 with the world. 

    For my day one, week one, month one widows LISTEN TO THIS! You are going to survive, you are going to smile, you are going to live again! You are going to wake up without crying again! Trust God for this! 

    For my widows navigating grieving young children, LISTEN TO THIS! Navigating my children's grief was the main challenge in year 3. Here I sit after year 4 and my children have grown SO much in their grief and communicating how they feel. 

    We got this ya'll. And for the times when you don't have it, Street Widows is here to support and uplift you!

    Street Widows Jacque and Crystal join us for some Widow Talk! We are pulling cards from the Widow Talk conversation deck, sipping on our Elevated Wine and sharing our experiences as Street Widows. 

    Jacquenette Young has been in the medical field working in health information technology for over 9 years. She enjoys her work. She's a competitive cheer mom to her one and only baby girl Maliiya (13). Her favorite pastime is working out. She enjoys the health benefits and stress relief that it provides. Her daughter's father, Marcellus Hinton was found unalive due to a gunshot wound, in his care on November 3, 2018. She has been a Street Widow for 5 years. 

    Crystal Mclemore runs two online cigar stores (BuyDiscountCigars and CigarTigar.com). She is a mother of 3 beautiful children; Amiah (20), Toynelia (17), and Tyrone Jr. (15). She also has 2 beautiful grandchildren, Amari (2) and Oakland (Newborn). She loves spending time with her family and friends. The father of her children, Tyrone Malone Sr., was found unalive on Thanksgiving day, November 26, 2021, due to pneumonia as a result of houselessness which stemmed from a battle with substance-use disorder. Crystal has been a Street Widow for 2 years.
