About this listen
Lewis Parfitt chats to specialist Speech and Language Therapist Kate Parfitt (his wife) about her role in the Youth Justice Service and how we can help identify and work with students who have speech, language and communication needs (SLCN) in our classrooms and schools.
60% to 90% of young people that end up in the youth justice service have SLCN, but only 5% of those are diagnosed before they commit an offense!
