L'imputato si chiama Aldo Braibanti, è un ex partigiano e autore di opere teatrali, e convive a Roma con Giovanni Sanfratello. L'omosessualità non è reato, ma i familiari di Sanfratello che sporgono denuncia e il magistrato che indaga trovano nel codice penale un delitto con cui identificarla: plagio. Si celebra così un processo che mette in dubbio la libertà individuale nel nome della morale comune. Con la voce della scrittrice Dacia Maraini e la gentile partecipazione di Paolo Girella.
