Zair was thirteen when he was kidnapped to stand in for the crown prince. Magicians wove illusion spells around him, using a shattered magic mirror to make him the prince’s duplicate.
The mirror, named Viza, was still alive. She and Zair sought a way to escape, as she taught him about the magic awakening inside him. It proved he was of royal blood, and a threat to the current king. He needed to break the growing web of spells that imprisoned him and reclaim his own face before time ran out.
