A French banking executive sent Betsy a letter proposing she pose as a relative of a deceased client to claim over $4 million. Recognizing it as inheritance fraud, Betsy reported the scam immediately.

As always, be careful with any inheritance fraud offers that seem too good to be true. If you're ever asked to pose as someone you’re not or claim money from an unknown estate, it's likely a scam. Report it and protect yourself.
