Today, I’m joined by Elise, a Scottish-born mother who used the power of visualisation and intentional preparation to create the birth she had always dreamed of. From watching home birth videos to mentally rehearsing her labour each night, she approached birth with deep trust in her body and the process.
Despite battling hyperemesis throughout her entire pregnancy, Elise never lost her excitement for becoming a mother. When labour began, she leaned into everything she had practiced, surrendering to each wave with confidence. Her water birth was everything she had envisioned - intense, empowering, and deeply transformative.
In today’s episode, Elise shares how mental preparation shaped her birth, the tools that helped her through labour, and the unforgettable moments she shared with her mother, who flew from Scotland to be by her side as she welcomed her daughter earthside.
