Vidya's 6th co-hosting gig and wow was it phenomenal!
Vidya and I discussed authenticity in the context of understanding and embracing one's true self, beyond societal norms and expectations. Vidya emphasized the importance of stripping away external influences to discover who you are at your core. She also highlighted the journey of evolution and the courage it takes to explore and accept one's authentic self, especially when making significant life changes or facing challenges.
Vidya also touched on the concept of "authentic success," encouraging individuals to define success on their own terms, based on personal values and passions, rather than societal definitions.
We then ventured into Autism Awareness and Women Supporting Women. Set against Autism Awareness Month, we explored authentic living through Sophie's example of how she shows up as her real true self with zero societal influences to identify her wants and needs. We covered movement and dance for body connection, emotional release through showering, and how to stay connected to your body. Listening to body signals, especially during perimenopause, and challenges societal expectations of women's bodies. It underscores the importance of reclaiming personal values and passions, highlighting the impact of societal conditioning on ignoring bodily signals.
