About this listen

Why hello there,

Today Kari Nixon, PhD, reads Things Worth Knowing from the April 18th edition

of the London Journal from 1863

Welcome back to Victorian Periodical Parade, 160 years ago folks were still interested in everyday events, the royals, and travel. They were folks just like us coming up with reasons to do things, reasons for why things happened, and making sense of it all.

Today Kari reads through the miscellaneous articles included in the publication along with Chapters 10 and 13 of Lady Audley’s Secret. After listening to this episode, hope on over to spotify to listen back to Chapter 1 of the Lady Audley’s Secret and see if any new pieces of information catch your attention.

After this episode we will be switching things up and gearing up for the halloween season with a dark narration of a spooky poem, we hope that you like it. We hope to hear from you on Instagram, Twitter, or Youtube

Have a great day!

Kari, Owen, and Daniel
