About this listen

Batten down the hatches for another episode of Watcher Texas Ranger, where hosts James Hauser, Clint Busch, and Ryan Mattila wade through the fist-flying, justice-serving mayhem of Walker, Texas Ranger! We’re riffing scene-by-scene through the 90s action classic with enough humor to weather any storm. This week, we’re tackling Season 2, Episode 2, "Storm Warning," where Cordell Walker faces a hurricane, escaped convicts, and a hotel full of bad decisions. Grab your raincoat and prepare for a whirlwind of Chuck Norris one-liners! Show: Walker, Texas Ranger Episode Title: Storm Warning (Season 2, Episode 2, sometimes listed as Season 1, Episode 5 on DVD due to combined Season 1 and 2 releases) Original Air Date: October 2, 1993 Runtime: 46 minutes Director: Greg Beeman Writers: Albert S. Ruddy, Leslie Greif, Paul Haggis, Christopher Canaan, Leigh Chapman Cast: Chuck Norris as Cordell Walker Clarence Gilyard Jr. as James "Jimmy" Trivette Sheree J. Wilson as Alexandra "Alex" Cahill Noble Willingham as C.D. Parker Cynthia Dorn as Mary Wilson Mike Norris as Dean Watkins Christopher B. Duncan as Danny Dawkins Lou Perryman as George Stedman In "Storm Warning," Walker and Trivette are transporting convict Danny Dawkins (Christopher B. Duncan) to testify against his drug-running bosses when a hurricane forces their prison bus to stop at a remote hotel. Naturally, things go south fast: Dawkins and other inmates, including the unhinged George Stedman (Lou Perryman), stage a breakout during the storm. They take the hotel guests hostage, including Alex, who’s there on a separate case. Walker, posing as Dean Watkins (played by Chuck Norris’s real-life son, Mike Norris), goes undercover to infiltrate the group and protect Alex. With the storm raging outside, Walker dishes out his signature brand of justice—think roundhouse kicks and moral lectures—while Trivette scrambles to keep the situation under control. It’s a high-stakes, rain-soaked showdown with enough drama to fill a Texas floodplain. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
