Chloe Mustaki is my final guest this season! Chloe is a professional soccer player for the Republic of Ireland ladies football team and recently signed her first professional contract with Bristol City. Chloe grew her love for soccer by playing on a team full of boys and started playing for Ireland when she was just 13 years of age. She went on to captain the Irish U19 team to the semi-finals of the European Championship in 2014. Shortly after this, Chloe was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma, she received treatment, and put her soccer career on hold but never lost sight of the goal of debuting for the senior team. She made her way back to soccer and was further derailed from her Senior Cap with an ACL tear. I suppose in Chloe’s case you could say good things come to those who wait, after completing the tedious task of rehab she returned to the sport and won the Women's National League title with Shelborne. She also earned her first Senior Cap in February 2022, where she also delivered a player of the match performance. This episode is jam-packed with positivity and the will to never give up.
