When I became a mum, I thought weekends would be filled with sport — I was “Sporty Spice,” after all. But as my kids grew and started trying different activities, I began noticing red flags: early specialisation, exhausting training loads, and contracts that demanded far too much of their childhood.
In this episode, I share why we’ve stepped away from traditional kids' sport and leaned into a lifestyle built around outdoor recreation, family adventures, risk-taking play, and movement for joy. We still love sport — but now we do it on our terms.
