Twenty years later, the attacks America suffered on September 11, 2001, continue to impact its political leaders. Justin Reash, ICS Executive Director and Program Director of the National Churchill Leadership Center, spoke with Karl Rove to mark this historic anniversary.


Rove, the former Senior Advisor to President George W. Bush, recounts his personal experience on that tragic day when he was accompany the President on a visit to Sarasota, Florida. He shares his reflections on its legacy for American presidents and policy and describes the leadership challenges faced by President Bush and how political leaders must act in the face of such incredible adversity. He also addresses the legacy of the war in Afghanistan and what the future holds.


This episode is dedicated to the innocent victims, the heroic first responders, and the family members affected by the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.
