Antes de começarmos a refletir sobre o pecado, gostaria de introduzir um conceito bíblico fundamental a respeito de Deus: somente Deus é eterno.
Embora algumas passagens bíblicas falem sobre pessoas ou eventos durarem “eternamente”, essas expressões geralmente terminam com a frase “até os dias de sua vida”. Isso nos mostra que, no contexto do Antigo Testamento, a ideia de eternidade muitas vezes estava vinculada à duração da vida terrena ou de um período específico. Porém, a Bíblia é clara ao afirmar que o eterno é somente Deus (Salmos 90:2).
