• Essential Oils for Insect Repellent:

• Lavender: Known for its calming effects, lavender oil also repels moths and other insects.

• Peppermint: Effective against mosquitoes and spiders, peppermint oil is a natural insecticide.

• Thyme: Studies show thyme oil can repel mosquitoes and ticks, even surpassing DEET in some cases.

• Lemon Eucalyptus: Recommended by the EPA for mosquito repellent properties.

DIY Recipes:

Homemade Sunscreen

2 oz. chemical free, scent free, hand and body lotion

4 drops helichrysum oil

4 drops Lavender oil

1 T. zinc oxide

Mix all ingredients until very smooth, put in glass, air tight jar.

Apply before sun exposure and reapply every 2 hours.

SPF is about 20. This sunscreen is NOT waterproof!

Insect Repellent

4 Oz. glass bottle

2 Oz. water

2 Oz. Witch Hazel

20 drops lemon

20 drops peppermint

20 drops melaleuca

Add a few crystals of Epsom salt to help emulsify.

Mix and spray on as usual! May also add some jojoba oil for moisturizer!

Tick Repellent 8oz bottle

1/2 cup Vinegar

20 eucalyptus

20 drops lemongrass

10 drops geranium

10 drops cedar-wood

10 drops - lavender

Top off water-distiled
