  • It's no secret that nurses and midwives can often neglect and sacrifice their own health and wellbeing for the sake of others. Whilst this is a commendable characteristic, it's important to recognise, that in order to support others, their self-care is critical. The Nursing and Midwifery Health Program Victoria was established to provide advice, support and case management to nurses, midwives and students of nursing. Initially addressing challenges presented by substance use and later, associated mental health concerns.

    Glenn Taylor, a registered nurse and CEO of the NMHP, joined tmew to talk about the many challenges facing this extraordinary helping profession and also sharing the personal journey that led to his very own calling.
