About this listen

A weekly mini podcast detailing my experiences as a QA professional working in videogames, with both autism and ADHD. Each week I'll be discussing some neurodivergent-related topic followed by a games quality topic (which I always cover in exactly 500 words... mostly). These are based on my own experiences and opinions, research, discussions with other professionals and neurospicy individuals, and are intended to provide insight, guidance, thought provoking ideas and a little bit of venting for me!David Jenkins Science Fiction

  • QAuDHD #73 - I Made ONE Mistake
    Nov 3 2025

It can be difficult to own up to your mistakes, especially in a workplace and especially in an industry still suffering from so many layoffs. But it's essential for learning and growth, developing (and re-establishing) trust, and so-on.

Handling mistakes is also essential in game design, since failure is often an expected part of the experience, which is why we're covering Tolerance this week.

As always: please share, drop in comments and let me know your thoughts/suggestions for future topics.

  • QAuDHD #72 - I Even Come In On Holidays
    Oct 27 2025

Having gotten over whatever man-flu had me down for the count last week, we're back!

This week we're talking, perhaps unsurprisingly, about how I handle being off sick (spoiler alert: not well) and about Consistency in game design.

As always: please share, drop in comments and let me know your thoughts/suggestions for future topics.

  • QAuDHD #71 - The Truth Is Very Complicated
    Oct 13 2025

This week we're discussing the complex nature of "truth", especially when it comes to being honest about ourselves. Following that, we go through how to test our next UX Design Principle: Perceptibility.

As always: please share, drop in comments and let me know your thoughts/suggestions for future topics.
