The partnership structure has often been criticised for its tendency to  focus on short-term individual gains, to the detriment of long-term  collective profitability. In the UK, a handful of law firms have turned  to the stock market for corporate finance to fund their long-term  investment goals, but how does this affect law firm structure? And does  it lead to a successful culture? We talk to Nick West, Chief Strategy  Officer at Mishcon de Reya LLP, who recently considered floating on the  London Stock Exchange.
