About this listen

 An “archetypal numinous encounter” is an involuntary or instinctual stimulus defined as a feminine figure that appears spontaneously in the peripheral or physical awareness of a person from the collective unconscious and produces acute sensations, feelings, and behaviors. In this episode, I describe the function of the archetypal numinous from a physiological and emotional perspective. I share an experience in my life to show how archetypal experiences render meaningful connections with the developing maternal consciousness of women. These experiences support the personal aim to acquire the fundamental essence of prenatal attachment as a New Earth phenomenon. Using Jungian theory, I demonstrate how an arousing numinous stimulus sensitizes a person to the presence of an archetypal dynamic situated in the Earth, and how that leads to changes in human behavior.
