You just think you're tired. You just think you've hit a limit. What you've actually hit is the end of your current thinking.

All you need to do to move past it is to choose to shift to the next gear.

How many times have you found yourself exhausted at the gym right at your 20-minute mark or at your 5-mile mark? You were not exhausted, you were just remembering the pattern that at around that time or distance you generally are tired.

So many times we believe that we are at our limit it has more to do with our commitment and loyalty to our patterns, our relationships, our comfort zones, our old-self.

    Here's the great part.

When we shift to the next gear, it's hard to remain the old self. When we choose to go beyond what we thought we could, we realize that there is far more that we are capable of.

So, when you think you've got that client project "good enough" or you have no energy left, check-in and ask yourself, "Is that true or am I just reliving a pattern of my old self? Do I want that or do I want a new result?"

It's time to move to the next level and leave the old level behind. Go beyond your old self, break the mold and keep elevating your life experience.

If you are ready to move to the next level and work yourself out of another job that takes you hours a week and is not in your place of passion, (like producing your podcast, shooting and editing your videos, creating your landing pages, or publishing your book) reach out to me and save yourself days, weeks or months of your life struggling to figure it out and get back to focusing on your area of mastery.

Or if you have questions you would like to have answered, email me at m@asynd.net and share your question, I may mention it in an upcoming episode.

You either get your excuse or the reward, you cannot have both.

Most people will tell their friends that they would be 5 kilos lighter, $10,000 more in the bank every month, they'd be happier, more connected with God

    If it weren't for my...

    [cue excuse]

    Kids
    Parents
    Boss
    Wife
    Ex-wife
    Husband
    Ex-husband
    Health problem
    Financial situation
    Cultural background
    Sick dog
    Skin color
    Country of origin
    Abuser 30 years ago
    Mother hugged me too much
    Father didn't hug me enough...

    On and on and on.

When we get the attention for the excuse, we are paid.
When we kill our excuses, we are paid commensurate with the work put in to overcome all challenges.

Most people like to give more attention to the hurdle rather than the goal and speaking as if they are about to make it to the goal, that they are almost there, that they can taste it.

The energy is completely different for those who focus on the prize rather than the challenge.

So, the lesson I am learning is to focus on the goal, to not shine a spotlight on the challenges, not to give the problems center stage of our lives or attention - you can share that all in hindsight once you reach the summit, tell those hiking up what you encountered, what to do about it and what the view from the top looks like.

  • 148 - Always Sell Your Best
    Sep 23 2019

Always Sell Your Best and Deliver On It!

It doesn’t matter if you are selling something for $100 or $50,000; always provide your very best at that level.

Set clear expectations with your clients and customers.

Ask your clients why they bought from you or what they hope to get out of working with you; you'll be surprised as to what they tell you. Take note of what they say and if they are an ideal client (the type of person you would like to serve even more of), use what they tell you in your communication and marketing.

Selling your best is maintaining quality control.

As a business owner, you have three jobs:
    - communicating your value
    - controlling the quality of your client’s experience
    - growing the revenue and increasing the profit

Your reputation is determined by the lowest level of quality you are willing to provide.

If you are stellar at one thing, but mediocre at the other, either elevate the quality of the one by making a key hire, buy a system or just stop offering it.

It’s okay for you to not do everything and to not offer everything - focus on your best and get to be known as a specialist.

There are new things we’re doing now that I had to research to find out what best practices are and implement them, shift it a bit, get feedback from the client and keep on improving on our delivery.

Where you see your competition playing at a level 6-7 out of 10, go for 11, 12 or 13. No one is there AND... successful, high-income earners and high net worth individuals are looking for luxury service and not shopping for bargain prices.

Whenever someone hires you to do work FOR them, they know that you are representing them.
They want to be able to trust the people they hire to raise their status in their industry or serve their relationship with their significant other or their kids. They want that ideal body and they want to hire the person who will get them that body quickly and with the least amount of busywork.
Offering your best attracts the best and most committed - because you are attracting WHO YOU ARE.

    Sep 17 2019
Visit http://preeminence.tv to download your free Guide to become known as the Preeminent Expert in your industry.

Entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, and wantrepreneurs... have you ever taken the time to calculate what it will take for you to get free? Are you making $1,000, $5,000 even $10,000 a month and you think that someday, you'll magically get free?

Or, you pull-off a decent product launch and after taxes and commission splits, you've got $100,000 in your pocket. Fantastic! Now what? Are you going to spend it on toys and upgrades like I did or are you going to invest it into growing an actual business that keeps paying you long enough to buy investments that keep paying you?

In Episode #147 I talk about getting off the hamster wheel. Really start thinking about how you are going to start building a business that takes care of you and your loved ones in the long run.

Grant Cardone recently stated that what people don't talk about is that $1,000,000 is middle class. You make $50,000 a year for 20 years, there is your million dollars. If you have a million dollars in the bank today and you just spent $50,000 a year on living expenses, that's 20 years and you'll be back at zero.

BUT, you're not thinking about making a million dollars; you're thinking about rent or mortgage this month, doing things you don't want to do and serving people you don't really want to serve because you "have to." If you're thinking about your short term and just getting by, you'll never leave that space.

You need a massive mind shift. The first time I did this, I went from making an average of $2,000/mo selling $197 products and giving away my magic to friends, family and even strangers - to a few months later having my first six-figure month.

So... The best thing you can do right now is set a big goal. One so big that it scares you.

If you're making $2k a month like I was, why not make a goal for $50,000 or $100,000 a month?

    Probably because
    a. You don't believe you can
    b. You don't think you're worth it
    c. You don't know how

Travis Jones talks about having a goal so big and so exciting to you that it wakes you up at 5am and you can't wait to get back to it. If you're hitting the snooze bar one or more times in the morning, chances are that your goal isn't big enough. If it doesn't excite you, don't expect others to ever get excited about it either.

The million dollars is a nice goal, but I would rather see you set a monthly consistent goal; one that is a stretch and excites you, where the money is a bi-product of the tremendous value YOU COMMUNICATE CLEARLY and DELIVER FULLY.

My friend, I am adamant about you building a business beyond 1-1 clients or small group coaching. There is a lure of not having to work hard, but it will take hard work to create the business that will end up working for you in the long run.

More times than not, the thing you want to avoid is the very thing you're going to have to do in the short term to get to that goal.

There has to be a plan in place to create a real business with systems and teams and marketing strategies with campaigns and measurable metrics.

Get after it! Start doing some revenue and expenses projections. Figure out what it will take for you to replace yourself from key tasks and hire people to create a real business that functions and grows without your moment-by-moment involvement.

  • 145 - Stop Giving Away Your Magic!
    Sep 2 2019
Visit http://preeminence.tv to download your free Guide to become known as the Preeminent Expert in your industry.

So many people I have met and even many I have coached have had challenges charging 1,000, 5,000, 10,000 or 25,000 for their services.

As a matter of fact, many of them are giving their magic away for $47, $197 or actually giving it away for free.

    That was me.

I thought - I love doing this and I get paid in the connection and the satisfaction from seeing people transform, get relief and move on and move up in their life.

These weren’t just close friends, these were people whom I had never met, they just messaged me on facebook or were introduced to me by a mutual friend.

They asked me for help and I would take the next hour or more helping them over the phone or making screen capture - walkthrough videos to show them how to work a piece of software or other technical things I would make a video for them. And, I wouldn’t charge anything for it.

I sold my programs for $47 - $97. I made $24,000 with my online work back in 2011 - barely surviving. I had to work side jobs to make it work

And guess how many people completed my programs? Hardly any. Why?

They were not invested in themselves.

You see, most of what we are given in life for free, we don’t value.

They don’t value it because we don’t put a value on it.

We give away our gift, our magic.

But, what if a stranger came up to you and asked you to pack up and move their four-bedroom house for the next few hours, or clean out a cow barn in 100-degree heat or to peel 300 potatoes - would you do that for free?

    Why not?

Aren’t you helping people? Aren’t you using the gift of your strength, maybe your care or organization? Why would you now demand to be paid for THAT kind of work?

It wasn’t until my coach had me consider that when I am giving my time away, I’m actually stealing from my family. I was away from them, doing work, but then valuing the time of a stranger for free over the time I could be with my family…

Hmmm.

So, giving away time now equaled, “stealing from my family” - this was a game-changer for me

I want you to do something for me.

Start charging more for the things you enjoy the most. Do this because you will give the most of you when you are in fulfillment, when you are on-mission, when you are in a space of joy of service.

And when you begin valuing your time, others will too. Those who want your genius for free are taking advantage of your unwillingness to charge.

If you are ready to move to the next level and work yourself out of another job, like producing your podcast, shooting and editing your videos, creating your landing pages, or publishing your book, reach out to me and save yourself days of your life so you can get back to focusing on your area of mastery.

  • 144 - The Hospital Bed Strategy
    Aug 26 2019

CRASH! I flew over the handlebars and the full weight and force of my body at about 20 miles per hour landed onto my face and my neck. I did a summersault on to the blacktop road and smashed the left side of my face, biting through my upper lip. How would I go back on camera the next day?

Once I got to the hospital, I began to wonder, "What if I would not have made it after the crash?" or "What if I would have been stuck in the hospital for weeks - what would happen to my family, my clients and my business?"

THIS IS EXACTLY WHY I talk so much about systems and hiring people.

If you are still a solopreneur, this is not a badge of honor, you have literally employed yourself. Congratulations, you gave yourself a job!

Start thinking today of all of the repetitive tasks you do in helping your clients or customers and begin creating documents or project templates of your processes. Once you do that, take off the training wheels and hire some people. There are millions of people out there looking for work and they are a hell of a lot better at doing those things that are not your one thing than you.

Give the gift of giving people jobs and you will open up the world to them and open your business to the world. Right now you've got a tiny capacity to serve and be productive with your time.

Get out there and start handing off work - and as my coach Jon Stuart says, work myself out of a job - hand it off and move up a notch to your next level.

Many of you are attempting to be a media producer - spending hours learning technical software, creating graphics, editing your videos, making your website, landing pages, publishing your book on your own, learning everything yourself so you can save some money. NOT WASTING MONEY IS GREAT, but you will never save your way to success.

Hire professionals to do the stuff that is not your ONE THING and become excellent at communicating your value to more people in the world, serving the people who hire you to the very best of your ability and DELEGATE every task to qualified people.

You don't have to even hire full or part-time employees, you can start with projects then re-hire trusted people as needed.

If you are ready to move to the next level and work yourself out of another job, like producing your podcast, shooting and editing your videos, creating your landing pages, or publishing your book, reach out to me and save yourself days of your life so you can get back to focusing on your area of mastery.

I use to take it all personal. It was keeping me as a weak leader.

When we take everything personally, we limit our strength of leadership.

Can you take constructive criticism or feedback from subordinates at work, team members, your kids, your parents, your spouse or significant other?

Drop the feeling of judgment when you get feedback and watch your personal power expand.

Today, I share with you what happened when I used mental Aikido to feedback.
