Aries Flight 8250 crashes just short of the runway in San Andrés during a stormy night.
I met Carolina as we were both volunteering for the FIFA Club World Cup and as I do, I attempted to speak Spanish and I replied to something with "Si". And she froze and said, "that one word could save your life". From there she told me how she thinks it saved her life in a plane crash on Aires Flight 8250 on the island of San Andres on August 16th, 2010. She declined interviews on National TV at the time but decided to share her story with me.
