 Pirate Bloc Radio aims to serve as a platform for local and emerging artists from within the greater Montreal area to reflect upon their creative processes and their artworks through facilitated conversations in an informal discussion format distributed as a monthly radio show. The programming of the radio show serves to reflect the mandate of the art center Eastern Bloc, where topics range between science, technology and art, and the spaces where these overlap. The radio show serves the purpose of providing another outlet for creatives to have their work featured through the medium of audio, and to be able to provide more profound and personal context upon their work to the audience. Furthermore, the reflection of the programming at the art center allows for more insight into the content of workshops, the work of artists in residence, exhibitions at the gallery and of projects constructed in the fabrication lab, allowing for insight and understanding of the entire functioning of the center.Copyright 2022 All rights reserved.
