By: David Roberts

  • People with purpose make a difference. Imagine a world where more people can just get their purpose out of them, into a plan and then actually make it happen. What a world that would be - People everywhere finding meaning and harnessing that to bring inspiration and energy to each and every day, changing lives for the better. But no- one ever achieved anything on their own - we all have something unique to bring and that means we all have to play our part - if we want to go far we have to go together and lead or serve towards a vision of the world we want to see. • Amplify Human Potential with Seth Casden
    May 21 2024

Today, David is joined by Seth Casden, the co-founder and CEO of Hologenix. He is passionate about developing products that amplify human potential. Seth and his team created Celliant which takes the energy the body naturally gives off and converts it into infrared light which has a positive impact and helps the body to regulate its temperature. This technology can be embedded in any textile.

Seth shares his journey including what motivated him to go against the grain, take a risk and develop this innovative product. He also explains how he and his co-founders created the culture which has made bringing this highly innovative product to market possible.

    KEY TAKEAWAYS

    • Celliant technology harvests the 100 joules the human body gives off every second and uses it to improve the performance of the body.
    • Their products are very affordable, in some cases, less than garments without this technology.
    • Keeping the body at the optimum temperature and performance helps you to exercise for longer and aids recovery. In sheets, it also helps you to sleep better.
    • Always ask for help when you need it and never refuse help. Having this culture in a business makes it a powerful entity.
    • It is important to be realistic and create space for team members to deal with any personal issues.

  • How Psychedelics Help with Trauma - Alex Abraham
    May 14 2024

For this episode, David is joined by Alex Abraham, the author of Trauma and Ecstasy. He is on a mission to share what he's learned about how psychedelics can help with overcoming trauma.

As a child, Alex was sexually assaulted by an authority figure which traumatised him and led to physical illness. Alex explains how psychedelics, used in a therapeutic setting, opened the door to the feelings and emotions he had been suppressing. Something that is enabling him to work through his trauma in a healing way.

    KEY TAKEAWAYS

    • Trauma can cause physical health problems as well as affect you mentally and emotionally.
    • Psychedelics lower the barriers enabling you to fully process the thoughts and feelings you have been hiding or running from.
    • To get a therapeutic outcome with psychedelics, you need a qualified guide. Not using one can cause more damage.
    • Psychedelics are not the answer for anyone. For some, they will have a destabilising effect.
    • Ultimately, self-centeredness comes from trauma.
    • When you work through the hurt you can start letting go of the blame.

    BEST MOMENTS

‘It wasn't until I started working through those emotions, that the muscle tension started to get better.’

‘My hope is that by shining a light I can help trauma survivors know they are not alone.’

‘Psychedelics open the door to these feelings and emotions. It's up to you to work through them in a therapeutic setting later.’
