About this listen
Parmalee continue to ride high with their latest album, 'Fell In Love With A Cowgirl', and joined Rob + Holly this week on the Friday Night Takeover to talk about some of the standout tracks, and how their music isn't a perfect fit for any one genre.
"We couldn't fit the mold for what was happening in the day, we were kind of doing what we're doing now, but it was like it wasn't really like Rock," the band shares. "It was too Country for Rock. It wasn't Alternative enough for that. We were just always in our own lane, which we continue to be."
The band had management in the world of Rock for a time with players from Papa Roach and Staind in the mix, but it never quite fit. "These guys really loved us and they love our music and they just, they couldn't figure out where we fit."
Luckily it worked out for Parmalee who are continuing a streak of number ones at Country radio. Turns our their fit is at the top of the Country charts.
