Being a parent can be exhausting. Who's kidding who, simply being an adult is exhausting but no matter how many times we tell our kids to just enjoy being a kid, they want to grow up so fast. Paraphrasing the late George Bernard Shaw "Youth is wasted on the young"... le sigh.

Setting boundaries shouldn't be a negative aspect to life.  We want to teach our kids that vocalizing your expectations in a relationship, whether it be romantic, plutonic or with colleagues to work, sets the foundation of how you expect to be treated and how you wish to treat others.
