About this listen

Operational intelligence is a tool that security practitioners can use to detect and avoid threats and develop more effective risk mitigation programs. Pete Morton is the Principal Consultant at Morton Executive Decisions, and a seasoned analytical intelligence and security consultant with 20+ years of experience in government, commercial, and non-profit security. As a consultant and project manager, he is known for his agility and fresh perspective. Pete started his career in early 2001 as a US Army enlisted infantry Solider, eventually commissioning as an Intelligence Officer. After sixteen years of service, he transitioned to corporate security where he worked for ten years with large security and intelligence teams at Amazon, JP Morgan, and General Dynamics. His success in both the government and commercial sectors has culminated in his ability to currently do what he loves the most. Working as an independent consultant with humanitarians globally to ensure aid gets to the riskiest regions in the world.  Pete is an ASIS Certified Protection Professional and sits on the newly formed Operational Intelligence Steering Committee as the Community Outreach and Content Development lead.
