"Schönes Wasser" bedeutet das Wort Ontario in der Sprache der Irokesen. Ontario liegt nicht nur an gleich vier der fünf großen nordamerikanischen Seen, und an der Hudson Bay, im Land gibt es wohl mehrere 100.000 Seen verschiedenster Größe. Auch der Lake St. Clair befindet sich in Ontario. An ihm liegt die Stadt Windsor - eine Grenzstadt, die sogar zur Metropolregion der US-Stadt Detroit gezählt wird.
Nadja Bernhard wurde in Windsor geboren. Sie ist Anchorwoman der ORF-Nachrichtensendung "Zeit im Bild" und erzählt Margit Atzler im Gespräch über die Besonderheiten des kanadischen Alltagslebens.“
