Fall '73 is as legendary a tour as it gets. The tour is well known for the Dead's peak improvisational 'space jazz'. When 1973 Dead is mentioned, the first thing that comes to mind is musical exploration. So, I thought it'd be fun to instead feature '73 material that IS NOT improvisational. These songs come from the first set and are very much rooted in country and rock n roll. But that's one of the great things about this band, is that they can go from this to epic second sets.
