About this listen

Isolation is something many of us experience over the course of our lives. In fact, at this point, our culture and communities seem to be arranged to encourage isolation rather than connection. Bea and Stephanie discuss Bea's struggle with isolation and her desire for authentic relationships. Using Bea as a case study, we go back to her childhood to understand the building blocks that created the fertile ground for isolation to take hold. As we go along, the objective is to identify commonalities with others who experience isolation, both to heal it and to prevent it in the first place. Not I Podcast Relationships Social Sciences

  • #4 - Identity vs Energy
    Jan 22 2024

Bea and Stephanie explore the difference between relating identity to identity rather than energy to energy. If all of one's relationships are identity-based, that can deepen one's sense of isolation. It is in energetic interactions that we have an opportunity to see and be seen, thereby strengthening the energetic units, or circles, to which we belong.
