This week the girls are discovering their love of 1992's The Muppet Christmas Carol and appreciating Muppet star power for the first time. It's a Dickens story with music, Muppets, and more humans than you would expect. Join us as we go through the beats of a familiar story, lyrics that make us laugh, clever character quirks, the scenes that had Sarah crying, and Lorna's real feelings about Tiny Tim. This week the girls are going straight from horror to horrified! Staying in what is fast becoming their favourite year (1996), Sarah shows Lorna all the gory intrigue of Primal Fear. This film's double twist leaves much to be discussed, though we do try to find time to figure out what these other plots are about and we do not succeed. It's two hours of great performances, overt musical cues, American legal jargon and some goddamn Catholic representation. Sarah marvels at Richard Gere's second best performance as an arrogant lawyer in Chicago and Lorna worries if Roy is going to get her.

Someone call Gail Weathers because Lorna and Sarah are venturing into the horror genre for the first time with the 1996 Wes Craven film Scream and it's big news. We're not braving it alone though, as we are joined by horror expert Emily Long to guide us through one of her favourite films. The girls are on a journey of discovery this week, asking questions like what are the rules of a horror movie? Do we like cheesy lines or hate them? Is there more than one killer?
