About this listen

A lonely little girl longs for a friend. Her parents are always busy, and a mysterious family moves in across the street, only emerging on special nights. One night, driven by hunger, George hears strange noises and sees a furry face at her window. Instead of being terrified, she's intrigued by a pile of sweets on the windowsill. Driven by curiosity, George waits, and during the next full moon, she takes homemade cakes to the mysterious house. She knocks on the window and meets a young werewolf boy, also named George. The werewolf boy explains his loneliness, as other children fear him. George, having experienced similar loneliness, befriends him. They discover they share the same name and many interests. They arrange playdates, with George visiting the werewolf's house weekly and having sleepovers during the full moon. Their friendship blossoms, and they eventually introduce their families. The families overcame their initial fears, realizing the "monsters" were misunderstood. The story concludes with the two families becoming friends, highlighting acceptance and overcoming prejudice.
