Un año oscuro y tenebroso en el que el mostruo de la Segunda Guerra Mundial comienza a mostrar sus filosos colmillos a los europeos y al mundo entero. Frank Sinatra, Consuelito Velásquez y Juan Carlos Casas, entre otros, dejan escuchar su música en mitad de los cañones de guerra.
Ese año nacen Ringo Star, John Lennon, Felipe Pirela, Lila Morillo, Tom Jones y Vikky Carr, entre otros.
