  • From Monk to Money Master: Doug Lynam on Wealth, Wisdom & the Enneagram
    Aug 26 2025

    Marine. Monk. Money Manager.
Douglas Lynam’s journey is anything but ordinary—and that’s exactly what makes his perspective so powerful. After spending 20 years as a Benedictine monk, Doug transitioned into the world of finance, becoming an ESG investment advisor and one of the most unique voices in conscious wealth management today.

In this episode of Mindful Mavericks, Doug shares how he bridges the worlds of spirituality and money with rare depth, clarity, and heart. From his time in the Marine Corps and the monastery to becoming a bestselling author, keynote speaker, and celebrity coach, Doug has dedicated his life to helping others align their financial choices with their deepest values.

We explore how your childhood shapes your money mindset, why ethics and wealth are not mutually exclusive, and how the Enneagram can reveal—and help you tame—your inner "money monster." Doug also shares insights from his books From Monk to Money Manager and Taming Your Money Monster: Nine Paths to Financial Mastery with the Enneagram.

If you’ve ever felt like you had to choose between financial success and spiritual integrity, this conversation will show you another way—one that’s grounded, wise, and profoundly liberating.
