There are thousands of documented interviews with formerly enslaved persons that were conducted during the 1930s. We have turned these interviews into an audio series which is launching with eight episodes.
All of the people represented in this series were in their 70s or older. They told their stories with honesty and conviction. Some of the stories are shocking, saddening, at times insightful, but always engaging.
