In Episode 81, Immanuel and Jon break down one of the busiest weeks in sports.

We start with the NBA, where the league just dropped the full 2025–26 schedule. Opening Night on October 21 will feature Kevin Durant’s return to Oklahoma City as the Thunder host the Rockets, followed by LeBron and the Lakers squaring off with Steph and the Warriors in primetime. We also preview the Christmas Day slate, which includes Cavs–Knicks, Spurs–Thunder, Mavericks–Warriors, Rockets–Lakers, and Timberwolves–Nuggets. Then we shift to the brand-new Emirates NBA Cup, with group play tipping off October 31 on Prime Video. We also reflect on John Wall’s retirement, Derrick Rose getting his jersey retired by Chicago, OKC’s new City Edition uniforms, and close with a fun debate on NBA “what-ifs.”

Next up is the NFL, where quarterback battles are making headlines. The Colts shocked many by naming Daniel Jones the starter over Anthony Richardson, the Browns are turning to Joe Flacco in Week 1, and Jerry Jones revealed the Cowboys made Micah Parsons the richest non-QB offer in team history.
