Alain a pris sa retraite de l'enseignement il y a plus de dix ans et se consacre depuis à une thèse inachevée sur la pensée de Nietzsche. Olivier venait tout juste de terminer son bac quand il a malencontreusement été engagé comme enseignant de philo au Cegep de Rimouski, ce qui le contraint à mettre sur pause son projet de maîtrise sur le même auteur. Ensemble, ils essaient d'expliquer à Julien le rôle central de la notion d'affects dans la pensée nietzschéenne, et dans la vie humaine en général. On termine avec une discussion sur l'impossibilité de la sainteté.
