- The Republican Party of Texas has routinely called for a fourth special legislative session to address the issue of prohibiting employer vaccine mandates, among other issues left on the table from previous legislative sessions.
- Republican leadership in the state has ignored the issue so far. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott’s executive order issued in October has routinely been ignored by companies across the state.
- The list of other states addressing this issue continues to grow. It now includes Florida, Iowa, Tennessee, Utah, and Ohio, which have all recently passed legislation with varying approaches.
