The story of every Eritrean citizen, across all generations, needs to be told as it is. That is where the collective strength of the Nation lies buried. The solution to the looming dangers facing Eritrea, today, is to be found there.

The administration of the affairs of the Nation have been out of the control of Eritrean citizens for too long. Eritrea is heading towards becoming a failed state, unless its citizens can begin to take control by steering it away from this danger. They can only do that by calling on citizens to register, to decide through a ballot, how to manage its affairs. Only citizens can take responsibility for their own nation and restore the rule of law. This political alternative plans to do precisely that before the current Eritrean regime, collapses, because when it can does, it will be too late to save Eritrea’s sovereignty.

The video calls citizens to start preparing, today, for the post-Isaias period, because the Isaias regime can collapse any time. The goal is to put the government's power in the hands of citizens; that can only be accomplished if citizens strengthen their political parties. Political parties in any country are in a position to ensure that citizens are in control of the government.

This video offers an answer to the Eritreans who reside in the diaspora, to know how they can bring change in Eritrea. The video explains, optimistically, and in detail, the options for action for change in Eritrea. This idea is original; it suggests that citizens can start to ‘vote’ for change in Eritrea, from wherever they are. It is advisable to refer to the 3 previous videos, as well.

The most arduous hindrance to bringing democratic change to Eritrea is that citizens in Eritrea have no freedom of association or the press. That makes it difficult for Eritreans inside Eritrea to plan and execute change. This video suggests an alternative way of going around that; namely, working through the Eritrean opposition in the diaspora. Local Eritreans, need only identify the political party, that stands nearest to their aspirations. They do this by following closely all the political development in the diaspora. 

In other words, locals need to decide beforehand how they will ‘cast their vote’ when the time arrives to do so, in an election. They can vote for an existing party or wait until another is formed after the change. All they need to do, now, is commit themselves, to seriously follow the parties, their programs, and their competence to implement. The video reassures locals that all the resources, that Eritreans overseas have at their disposal, namely freedom, money, know-how, etc, can be shared with them. The biggest resources are the huge numbers of citizens overseas, and their willingness to connect with Eritrea.

Born on January 01, 1890, Eritrea is now more than 130 years old. The video tells how, in this period, its citizens have never been given the right to administer their own country. It follows, then, that they have never had the exposure to develop the competence and the institutions of administration of a nation. Comparing Eritrea with fellow African countries, it states that, unlike Eritrea, all but a few, had inherited the required skills and the institutions of government from their European colonizers. Moreover, they all started decades ahead of Eritrea, to fine-tune their competencies in and institutions of administering their nations. 

In conclusion, it states that it is high time that Eritrean political parties start making serious plans for the period after the collapse of the current regime.

In the first years after Eritrea declared independence in 1991, there were several occassions in which citizens challenged the leadership of EPLF, the seemingly ‘undisputed hero’ of liberation. The challenge came from all corners, including, from within the EPLF’s rank and file, but from historically rival organizations such as the ELF, as well. These challenges and protests against EPLF, now the PFDJ, still continue after more than 30 year, today. 

The video points out that it was a missed chance that it was not political organizations, who organized or led these protests, but individuals or tiny groups. It argues that this fact has been and still is the strategic shortcoming of Eritreans to force the current regime to hand-over power to representatives of the citizens. Political parties have not, so far, taken upon themselves to make campaigning for their respective political power in government, their priority.

ኤርትራ ኣብ 1991 ናጽነታ ድሕሪ ምእዋጃ፡ ኣብ ዝነበራ ቀዳሞት ዓመታት፡ ዜጋታት ነቲ ብህዝቢ ከም ‘ዘይድፈር ጅግና’ ዝውሰድ ዝነበረ መሪሕነት ህዝባዊ ግንባር ብተቓውሞ ዝብድሁሉ ሓያሎ ኣጋጣሚታት ተኸሲቶም ነይሮም። እቲ ብድሆ ካብ ኩሉ ኩርናዓት፡ ልዕሊ ኩሉ ካብ ውሽጢ መሳርዕ ህ.ግ. ከምኡ’ውን ካብ በዓል ተጋድሎ ሓርነት ኤርትራ ዝኣመሰላ ኣብ ታሪኽ ተቓወምቲ ህ.ግ. ዝነበራ ውዳበታት እዩ ዝመጽእ ዝነበረ። እቲ ተቓውሞታት፡ እነሆ ን30 ዓመታት ቀጺሉ እዩ።
