  • When you’re hosting a podcast, it’s easy to fall into the trap of thinking that all you need to do is sit in front of a mic and talk. But while it’s true that you do need to talk, that doesn’t mean that you should only talk about the thing that you set out to talk about. In fact, the best podcasts are the ones that take listeners on a journey, incorporating all kinds of different elements into their shows. So how can you make sure that you’re always taking your listeners on a journey? Well, the first step is to start by making a plan. You want to think about what kind of show you want to present and what kind of audience you want to reach. Once you’ve done that, you can start outlining how your show is going to work and how each episode is going to flow. Once you’ve done that, you can start working on your content. The key thing here is to keep things fresh and interesting. It might be tempting to just dive right into talking about your topic, but that can get boring fast. Instead, try using different media like images or video to spice things up. And don’t be afraid to experiment with new ideas and new formats either. The more variety you can throw into your show, the more interesting it will be for your listeners.
