About this listen

This week Jeff and Bethany Stedden join Scotty to talk about creating New Mexico's one and only dedicated horror festival, the Morgue & Krypt Horror Fest. They discuss growing up as a pair of lonely horror geeks in the Albuquerque region, traveling to fan fests throughout the greater Southwest, and how doing so inspired them to start their own event here at home. They describe the challenges of organizing a festival--from the logistics of raising money, contacting guests, finding venues, and even figuring out parking for attendees--to the fun stuff of coming up with unique features and helping to build a dedicated and thriving community of "505" horror fans.

This year's Morgue & Krypt Horror Fest will be September 26-28 at the Isleta Resort and Casino. Go to https://www.morgueandkryptabq.com for more information.
