James began his acting career while taking drama class at Hopkinsville High School. He performed in Alice in Wonderland and Grease.He rediscovered his passion for acting in 2015 when he appeared in a short film "The Switch". His credits now include "The Silent Natural, the international action film "Adrenaline",and tv shows such as "Snapped",'Mark of a Killer" and "Stranger Things", and recently taken on the role of Jason Voorhees in "Voorhees.Night of the Bast".
